Seriously though, implement as many measures as possible to increase the chance of getting your multi-rotor drone\u00a0back, even if it&#8217;s in several pieces ; )<\/p>\n<h2>Lost Multi-rotor Drone<\/h2>\n<p>I always strongly advise anyone new to unmanned aircraft systems to install a GPS tracker. One of these handy gadgets has got me out of a very sticky situation in the past, i.e, almost loosing my <a href=\"http:\/\/click.dji.com\/D-APGys4zqa3HxsO?pm=custom\">Phantom<\/a> 2&#8230; it\u2019s a long (quite funny) story, but trust me, those things really are well worth the money. Applying an \u2018If found\u2026\u2019 sticker onto your multi-rotor drone airframe is another such measure which may just reunite you and your beloved multi-rotor drone should the worst happen. Of course, there are no guarantees, but I\u2019ve heard a good few stories where some stressed out\u00a0pilots received a welcome phone call to alert them their drone had been found. Remember, good fortune favours the brave.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve created an neat little graphic which will enable you to create your own eye grabbing sticker. Here\u2019s the full SP:<\/p>\n<h2>Tool list<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Double sided tape<\/li>\n<li>Scalpel or scissors<\/li>\n<li>Self Adhesive Covering Film\u00a0<em>(fig.1)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Colour printer + paper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"blockgrid small-block-grid-1 medium-block-grid-3 large-block-grid-3 \">\n<li>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/jamiebrightmore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/drone-sticker-book_seal.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/><figcaption>fig.1<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/jamiebrightmore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/drone-sticker-print_setting.jpg\" alt=\"drone-sticker-print_setting\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/><figcaption>fig.2<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/jamiebrightmore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/drone-sticker-post_airframe.jpg\" alt=\"drone-sticker-post_airframe\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/><figcaption>fig.3<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Process<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Download the <a href=\"http:\/\/cdn.4muladesign.com\/clients\/jb\/downloads\/jamiebrightmore.com_drone_sticker.zip\">sticker file<\/a> for your multi-rotor drone.<\/li>\n<li>Open the PDF in a decent reader app, <a href=\"http:\/\/get.adobe.com\/uk\/reader\/\">Adobe Acrobat<\/a>\u00a0or Apple&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Preview_(Mac_OS)\">Preview<\/a> will both work fine.<\/li>\n<li>Click and replace the red text and type in your phone number.<\/li>\n<li>In your reader app\u2019s menu, select \u2018Print\u2019 and make sure you reduce the scale down to 100%\u00a0<em>(fig.2)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Stick some self adhesive covering film over the graphic, this will keep it semi-weather proof.<\/li>\n<li>Stick some double sided tape onto the back of the graphic, make sure it\u2019s all covered.<\/li>\n<li>Grab a cutting mat and scalpel, or some scissors, and cut the sticker out.<\/li>\n<li>Peel the backing from the double sided tape and apply the sticker to your airframe.\u00a0<em>(fig.3)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Eh voil\u00e0.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"I\u2019ve created a neat little printable graphic which will enable you to make your own eye grabbing sticker.
